Takuan, 500g. This is a 500G pack of Japanese takuan from Sakura Jirushi. Takuan is the bright-yellow pickled daikon radish.

A sushi bar uses it for Sushi roll filling (oshinko maki), Bento box accompaniment, Donburi and rice bowl garnish, and Korean kimbap component.

Keep it in the fridge, about 0–4°C, and close it after each use. Close the pack as soon as you have taken what you need. At home you use it the same way, just more slowly. This is a pickled yellow radish (takuan). It is also used for modern Japanese-fusion sides.
